Counselling that puts you in the centre

Person-centred support in an empathic and empowering way:
As a person-centred counsellor, I put you (the client) at the heart of the therapeutic experience. For me, this means taking things at your pace, and supporting you in any difficulties or challenges you want to address. I do this in an empathic and warm way. The power of listening can be so empowering.
I believe that each individual is deserving of support. Our mental and emotional wellbeing have huge impacts on how we see the world and how we live our lives, so it makes sense that we can struggle when our worlds feel a bit unbalanced. I think that therapy can be a powerful tool to help achieve balance and stability, helping us to feel a bit more 'okay'.
Person-centred counselling might be a bit different from other therapies you have read about, or have experienced yourself! It is a talking therapy, that believes with the right therapeutic environment, everyone has the potential to grow and develop as a person. This is the kind of space I like to offer clients.
You might come to session with a specific thing in mind to talk about or process, or you may decide to talk openly about any challenges you're currently facing. You might want to explore coping strategies, or understand yourself better from a developmental point of view. We'll work together to explore what exactly works best for you, as an individual.
... and it's worth checking that any potential practitioner is trained and qualified to support you!

Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
My experience so far has allowed me to work with a range of life difficulties and challenges, such as: anxiety, stress, depression, self-image and self-esteem, sexual violence, abuse, trauma and relationships.
If there is a specific difficulty you'd like to work through via therapy, and you don't see it listed, feel free to get in touch and we can have a chat.
I currently offer online sessions on Monday, Thursday and Fridays after 5pm.
This will depend on your individual needs and goals of therapy, as well as cost affordability. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, however I am happy to provide bi-weekly or monthly sessions, depending on the needs and wants of any clients.
I believe therapy should be client led, and this includes empowering you to stop therapy when you feel able to. Some clients may wish to work short term (typically 6-12 weeks), whereas others may benefit from longer-term sessions. This doesn't need to be pre-decided! We can discuss this at any point throughout the therapeutic process.
I offer a free 15 minute consultation. Here I'll talk a bit about the way I work, and ask what your goals or expectations are with therapy. It's a chance for you to see if I'm someone you'd like to work with.
Hosted through Google, we can have a 1 hour session online to talk about whatever you wish.
Currently unavailable, but in the works to launch soon in the CH6 area!
I also offer some concession and student prices, so feel free to ask in your initial enquiry.
